Privacy policy
This policy explains what information is involved when you visit 8dofwellness.com, the website of The 8 Dimensions of Wellness and the Wellness Quiz Hub YouTube channel. The short version: we don't run accounts, cookies, ads or analytics on this site, and your quiz answers never leave your device.
Information we collect
We don't collect personal information through this website. There are no sign-ups, comment boxes or contact forms, and we don't use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or analytics tools.
The wellness wheel quiz runs in your browser. Your answers and your results are worked out on your own device. They aren't sent to us or stored on our servers, and they disappear when you close or refresh the page.
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We don't sell it, share it for marketing or add you to a mailing list.
Services that help run the site
Like almost every website, our pages rely on a few outside services. When your browser loads a page, it connects to them directly, and they may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page you're viewing. Each one handles that under its own privacy policy:
- Netlify hosts the website. Like any web host, it keeps short-term server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces the site uses.
- Unsplash supplies the photos in our articles, which load from images.unsplash.com.
- Fourthwall supplies product images on our shop pages and runs our online store. If you click through to buy something, Fourthwall handles your order, payment and shipping details under its own privacy policy, and shares with us only what's needed to fulfil the order and answer your questions.
- YouTube hosts our quiz Shorts. We link to YouTube rather than embedding videos, so YouTube is only involved if you choose to visit it.
- Zoho Mail handles our email, so messages you send us are stored with Zoho.
Links to other websites
Our articles link to other sites, such as government health agencies and research sources. We're not responsible for their privacy practices, so please check their policies when you visit them.
Children
This site is written for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete any emails or details you've sent us. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under privacy laws, and we'll honor any valid request. You can also block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, for example if we add a newsletter, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
